What is a Quarter Auction?
Quarter Auctions must be for a 501-3C Company to be legal. And, we are PROUD to say that 100% of our monies from the Quarter Auction go to just that, to Cure Cancer!
We, aside from the vendors, supply items at the auction in which we have donated ourselves. You have so many opportunities to walk away with awesome items! =)
A Quarter Auction is made up of several vendors who will have tables set up for you to browse and buy many of their items prior to the initial auction. Each vendor brings (3) items to the Auction. The items that the vendors bring are not available to purchase from their table, you can only get it through the auction.
Tables will be set up for everyone to be seated once the auction is ready to begin. Everyone will have their auction paddle and rolls of quarters ready. In the middle of each table, you will find a bucket. Items will be described by the vendors, along with their value and bidding amount. At that time those interested in bidding on that item would place the appropriate amount of quarters (1-4 depending on litem value) in the bucket on the table. Once all bids are complete, someone will collect all quarters and a chip will be pulled from the Drum. Whoevers auction paddle number matched the number pulled from the Drum is the new owner of that auction item. If the number that is pulled is someone who did NOT bid on that item, they would simply yell NO BID....inwhich we would draw the next number. A fun, easy way to get GREAT items for only a few QUARTERS!
Door Prizes will be drawn between auction items...which costs nothing to win these! You just have to sign up at the vendors tables, that way you know if you are interested in that doorprize! You are free to sign up for them all if you wish....that is up to you!
